sewermain replacement project 2022 sign

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Since 2016 the City of Campbell River has been utilizing trenchless technologies to rehabilitate some if its aging underground infrastructure. When applicable, the City prefers to use a cured in place pipe (CIPP) solution. This technology is very quick and cost effective when compared to the conventional method involving deep trench excavations and undesirable property disruptions.

A sewer rehabilitation program is completed each year by the City to continue to improve the underground sewer collection systems within our community. This year we are targeting to complete approximately 3.5 kilometers of CIPP to rehabilitate our sewer mains that have reached the end of their serviceable life.
