The Fire Dispatch Centre, located at the #1 Fire Station, has been providing Fire Dispatch services on behalf of the North Island 9-1-1 Corporation since 1995. The centre is staffed with two dispatchers, 24-hours per day, seven days per week and currently provides dispatch services to 81 fire departments covering approximately 180,000 square kilometres. The full-service dispatch centre operates as a state-of-the-art facility, meeting and exceeding the National Fire Protection Association Standards.
