About Campbell River

The City of Campbell River offers a dynamic lifestyle surrounded by nature. Campbell River is at the 50th parallel on the east coast of northern Vancouver Island. This gives us the waters of Discovery Passage at our shoreline and majestic mountains as a backdrop.

We are the third-largest city on the island, with a population of more than 37,500. As an urban service centre and hub community, we have approximately 60,000 people living and working in our region. As a hub for the northern Vancouver Island region, Campbell River is a city with friendly small-town character.
