The City of Campbell River is developing a concept for Maryland Park and Palmer Meadows area (270 Maryland Road) to provide improved park amenities and enhance community connectivity. The park is on the City’s Greenways Loop and provides a connection to Willow Point Conservation Area. The Maryland Estates neighbourhood has grown over the last decade. This park presents an opportunity to develop amenities within walking distance for neighbourhood residents such as improved trails, an accessible playground, and a picnic area.

WHAT’S THE PROCESS?

The process was launched in September 2022 and is planned to conclude with a final park concept plan in early 2023. The project began with a review of the park's background, context, and existing site conditions. The focus of Phase 1 community engagement is to explore concept options and review early ideas for the park. This winter, in Phase 2, we will invite the community to review the draft concept plan to inform final directions for the park.
