Join the City of Campbell River (the City) at Spirit Square for free weekly summertime performances and special events through June, July and August 2025. Here’s what you can look forward to!
Lunch in the Square — Tuesdays at Noon, June 3 to August 26 (Except July 1)
Lunch in the Square features live local and regional music performers sponsored this year by Coastal Community Credit Union. Bring your own lunch or pick up some take-out at one of the many downtown eateries and enjoy some fresh air, sunshine and live tunes with friends, family, coworkers and neighbours.
River Concerts — Friday Evenings at 7 p.m., June 20 to August 29 (Except August 8)
The River Concerts series, sponsored by 99.7 The River, begins with a special pre-National Indigenous Peoples Day concert on Friday, June 20, featuring Montreal-based Cree pop singer and songwriter Siibii.
Friday, June 27, will feature Vancouver-based powerhouse vocalist Beau Wheeler as part of Campbell River’s Pride celebrations.
Fridays in July will feature founding member of The Wailin’ Jennys, Cara Luft; Mexican-Balkan fusion from Montreal’s El Balcón; North Island yacht-pop with Paris Pick and the Pricks; and Campbell River’s popular party band, Time Well Wasted!
August performers include Big Little Lions, J. Plank (also known as Jeff Plankenhorn), bluegrass outfit The Unfaithful Servants and a collaboration with Indie Rock in the River that will feature Vancouver rockers La Chinga.
CR Live Streets — Wednesday Evenings, July 16 to August 27
The City is also looking forward to the 2025 launch of its award-winning CR Live Streets summer event series. This popular series will bring free, family-friendly events to Shoppers Row on Wednesdays in July and August. Look for more details in the coming weeks!
Campbell River Jazz & Blues Festival — August 20 to 23
The City is partnering with Highway 19 Concert Society once again to present the Campbell River Jazz & Blues Festival. Performances will take place at multiple venues, including Spirit Square.
Community Events
Spirit Square also hosts the Campbell River Farmers Market on Sundays, from May to September, and community celebrations, including National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21, North Island Pride Festival on June 28 and Canada Day on June 30 and July 1.
