National Day of Mourning observed by the City

Canadian flags at City facilities are flying at half-mast from today, when City staff will gather at Firehall #1 to remember and honour workers who have been killed, injured, or suffered illness as a result of work-related incidents, until April 28, the National Day of Mourning. In 2023, 175 B.C. workers died from a workplace injury or disease. We all have responsibilities to ensure workers and workplaces are healthy and safe.
