    2022 ANNUAL REPORT NOW AVAILABLE

The City of Campbell River (the City) recently published its 2022 Annual Report. The document is available online and in person at City Hall.

While it is difficult to capture an entire year within one document, this report offers an overview of City activities, a year-in-review piece covering highlights and major changes, departmental reviews that outline the various roles, responsibilities and service offerings, and a financial statements section that dives deeper into the City’s workings.

“As you read the 2022 Annual Report, you will take in some of the important work that was completed across the community. Everything from the replacement of utility and road infrastructure, continued delivery of vital community safety services, completion of sportsplex renovations, and the expansion of our award-winning CR Live Streets programming is highlighted,” says City Mayor, Kermit Dahl. “Whether you are a resident, business owner, service user or visitor to the Campbell River community, thank you for being a part of the incredible place we call home. On behalf of Council, we’re excited to build on the successes in 2022 to meet the challenges of today and beyond.”

The City is required to produce an annual report that includes the City’s audited financial statements and permissive tax exemptions. This year’s report deadline is June 30, 2023. To view the 2022 Annual Report, visit campbellriver.ca/annual-report or request to view a copy at City Hall.

“2022 was a big year at the City, with the newly elected Mayor and Council setting new strategic priorities and direction for the organization,” says Elle Brovold, City Manager. “While we continued to focus on delivering core municipal services and providing supplemental services which make Campbell River a fantastic place to live, work and play, we were also faced with new challenging responsibilities that address current needs. Huge strides were made in 2022 and will continue to be made as we journey through 2023.”

City Council will review the 2022 Annual Report at the June 29, 2023 Council meeting. Watch live or catch the recording at campbellriver.ca/webcasts. Community members are invited to share comments on the Annual Report. Please send written comments to City Hall or email info@campbellriver.ca by noon, on June 29, 2023.
