Malakai is an emerging, genre-bending folk artist from Vancouver Island. He sings with a soul surprising in someone so young. Performing since the age of seven, at just 17 years old Malakai is already a seasoned musician. Celebrated for his use of alternate tunings and unique chord progressions, his songs feel intimate yet expansive. Malakai's songwriting weaves heartfelt melancholy with warmth and honesty. Alongside original material, he performs thoughtfully reimagined covers, making each song his own.
