The City of Campbell River established the Community Builder Award in January 2007. This award recognizes individuals who have shown longstanding leadership and improved the quality of life in our community. The Community Builder Awards honours citizens who have left a legacy for us to enjoy and build upon.
Criteria for selection includes recognition for:
- specific service or deeds
- outstanding contributions in a particular field or endeavour
- selfless volunteerism
- activities that have made our community a better place to live
Criteria for selection also allows for posthumous nominees.
