Zoning

Zoning, in Campbell River, is how the City regulates land use. The Zoning Bylaw divides the City into zones with specific development rules. Each zone's rules describe how the land can be used, the size of parcels created by subdivision and the allowed density. This helps guide the growth of the community and ensures use of land and structures develop in proper relationship to one another.

Zoning Bylaw

City Council adopted the current Zoning Bylaw August 28, 2007. This bylaw outlines the City's zones and establishes land use regulations that are consistent with the official community plan. It was created in accordance with Sections 903 to 906 of the Local Government Act.
