The City of Campbell River along with 5 non-profit partner organizations operating from City-owned facilities (Campbell River Arts Council, Campbell River and District Art Gallery, Campbell River Museum and Archives, Tidemark Theatre, Maritime Heritage Centre) work together to provide cultural services and support art, culture and heritage activities. See the websites of these organizations below for more information.
The Campbell River Arts Council fosters awareness and interest in the arts across the community and empowers, supports, and advocates for the arts and culture sectors. The Arts Council manages and cares for the historic Sybil Andrews Cottage. Built in 1942, the cottage was home to the celebrated artist and musician Sybil Andrews (1898-1992). Restored by the City in 2010, the property holds the offices of the Arts Council and remains a center of artistic creation and learning today.

The Maritime Heritage Centre celebrates the maritime history and culture of Campbell River and the West Coast. At the heart of the Centre is the BCP 45, a 1927 wooden fishing seiner designated a National Historic Site of Canada and famously featured on the Canadian $5 bill from 1972 to 1986. The Centre also offers maritime exhibits, educational programs and community gathering spaces. The Centre is located at the historic Discovery pier.
Operating separately on the Maritime Heritage Centre site, is the Discovery Passage Aquarium. This catch-and-release aquarium and explorer lab aims to enhance knowledge, appreciation, and stewardship of marine ecosystems.
