Fire Dispatch

The Fire Dispatch Centre is located at the No. 1 Fire Station. It has provided fire dispatch services on behalf of the North Island 9-1-1 Corporation since 1995. This full-service dispatch centre operates as a state-of-the-art facility, meeting and exceeding the National Fire Protection Association Standards.

The Centre strives to have three dispatchers working, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They provide dispatch services to 81 fire departments, covering around 180,000 km2 and handle approximately 28,000 incidents per year.
