The City of Campbell River has drafted a concept plan for improvements to Maryland Park. The plan includes:

  • improved trails
  • accessible play areas
  • a picnic area
  • conserved natural areas
  • outdoor exercise equipment
  • flexible open space

The City developed this plan over seven months, in a two phase project running from September 2022 to March 2023.

Phase One: Concept Exploration

The first phase of the project began in September 2022. During this phase, community members and staff provided ideas about park opportunities, challenges and early directions for park improvements. This phase focused on confirming key themes and priorities.
