There will be a full road closure on Spruce Street, between 19th Avenue and Island Highway 19A, beginning on Monday, September 21, and continuing until late December 2026. This temporary closure is to accommodate work that is part of the Campbellton Sewer System Upgrades project. A contractor engaged by the City of Campbell River will be completing the work.

During this time, motorists and pedestrians can expect the following:

  • Delays may occur.
  • Pedestrian access will be available.
  • Resident and emergency access will be maintained.
  • Parking will be unavailable on Spruce Street.
  • The lane north of Island Highway 19A will be closed where it meets Spruce Street.

Follow all traffic controls in place.

Redwood Street will also be periodically closed this fall. When that happens, single lane alternating traffic will temporarily come into effect on Spruce Street, under the direction of onsite traffic control personnel.
