There will be periodic full road closures on Redwood Street, between Island Highway and the lane north of Island Highway, and on the lane north of Island Highway, behind 1760 and 1740 Island Highway, in effect beginning on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, while a contractor engaged by the City of Campbell River completes sewer main upgrades in the area. Traffic will be detoured, and delays may occur. Follow all traffic controls in place.
Construction is anticipated to continue through the remainder of 2026, with some work, including final paving, extending into 2027.
During this time, there will also be periodic partial road closures on Highway 19A, between Petersen Road and Tamarac Street. Delays may occur. Follow all traffic controls in place.
Local access will be maintained, and businesses within the project area will remain open throughout construction. Allow extra time when travelling through the project area.
This work is being completed as part of the Campbellton Sewer System Upgrades project.
