The City of Campbell River (the “City”) intends to enter into the following agreements at the Campbell River Airport:
- 35-year land lease that will terminate on December 31, 2061, to Ascend Aero Business Centre Inc., for an initial rent of $3.46/m2 ($15,327.80 annually) plus GST (Lease Area 21, 4,430 m2, Plan EPP115838).
- 5-year land lease that will terminate on April 30, 2031, with the option to renew for one (1) further term of 5 (five) years, to VIH Helicopters Ltd., for an initial rent of $3.46/m2 ($6,020.40 annually) plus GST (Lease Area 13, 1,740 m2, Plan EPP35390).
- 10-year land lease that will terminate on December 31, 2036, to Sealand Flight Ltd., for an initial rent of $3.46/m2 ($15,673.80 annually) plus GST (Lease Area 11, 4,530 m2, Plan EPP35390).
- 1-year Terminal Building lease that will terminate on April 30, 2027, with the option to renew for two (2) further terms of one (1) year, to Executive Aviation Fuels (BC) Ltd., for an initial rent of $400/m2 ($8,680.00 annually) plus GST (Rooms 118A, 119A, and 119, 21.7 m2).
- 2-year Terminal Building lease that will terminate on April 30, 2028, with the option to renew for two (2) further terms of three (3) years, to WestJet Encore Ltd., for an initial rent of $400/m2 ($2,920.00 annually) plus GST (Room 118, 7.3 m2).
The City will remain the registered, fee-simple owner of all lands and buildings described above. This notice is given pursuant to Section 26 of the Community Charter.
