The City of Campbell River is proud to present another season of free performances at Spirit Square. The 2026 lineup features live music every Tuesday at noon and Friday evenings throughout the summer.
“Our Spirit Square concerts help downtown come alive,” says Mayor Kermit Dahl. “Add live music, summer energy, our incredible downtown business community and that unbeatable ocean-and-mountain backdrop, and it doesn’t get better. It’s one piece of a bigger push to keep downtown vibrant — from business supports and beautification to enhanced patrols and CR Live Streets programming. I hope to see you downtown this summer!”
Here’s what you can expect from this summer’s festivities!
Lunch in the Square — Tuesdays at Noon, June 2 to August 25
Lunch in the Square brings live local and regional musical performers to the heart of downtown, creating a lively backdrop for a summer afternoon.
The series kicks off with The River Boys, a local duo known for their upbeat pop covers and original songs that showcase Campbell River and Vancouver Island’s musical talents. June performances also include Exit 30, Easy Street, Sean Hogan, and Inclusion.
Grab some takeout from a nearby restaurant, or bring a picnic, and head to Spirit Square and enjoy the music.
River Concerts — Friday Evenings at 7 p.m., June 12 to August 28
River Concerts welcomes artists from across Canada to Spirit Square for an exciting lineup of evening performances.
The series opens on June 12 with a bluegrass performance by JUNO Award Nominee Jackson Hollow. Later in June, audiences can enjoy iconic performances by Oktiv 6 and the Funkyard on June 18, and Bu Von Blum on June 26.
