The City of Campbell River will soon begin demolition of the structure located at 1021 Island Highway, adjacent to the Big Rock Boat Ramp parking lot. This work will support the planned expansion of the Big Rock Boat Ramp parking lot.
Demolition is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 19 and is expected to be complete by Friday, June 5, 2026. During this time, the parking lot at 1047 Island Highway will be closed. Portions of the Big Rock Boat Ramp parking lot will be closed for short durations to accommodate the work.
Residents and visitors can expect intermittent, short-duration closures in the southern portion of the Big Rock Boat Ramp area where it borders 1021 Island Highway South. Please follow all signage and directions in that area.
