The City of Campbell River Airport (YBL) is excited to welcome a new carrier, WestJet, to Campbell River. 

City and WestJet officials made the announcement that WestJet would be offering a 2026 seasonal schedule between Calgary and Campbell River during an event at the Campbell River Airport today, February 9, 2026. 

The seasonal service will be offered between May and October 2026. The route will operate four days per week, except for June 22 to September 6, when it will operate daily.

  • Flights will depart from Calgary at 11:15 a.m. MDT and arrive in Campbell River at 12:25 p.m. PDT.
  • Flights will depart from Campbell River at 1 p.m. PDT and arrive in Calgary at 4 p.m. MDT.

The first flight will land in Campbell River at 12:25 p.m. local time on May 15.

Owned and operated by the City of Campbell River, the Campbell River Airport is a regional gateway to northern Vancouver Island and the Discovery Islands. A designated port of entry, with a 6,500-foot runway, it accommodates a mix of commercial and private aircraft. Serving a regional population of 60,000, including Campbell River and communities in northern Vancouver Island, the airport offers daily direct flights to Vancouver and, as of May 2026, Calgary.
