Work under this contract consists of the rehabilitation of approximately 5.8 km of existing sanitary sewer mains through the use of Cured In Place Pipe (CIPP) lining method. The work is to be delivered in segments as defined by man-hole to man-hole sections of relevant sewer main pipe.

Work under this contract consists of the rehabilitation of approximately 5.8 km of existing sanitary sewer mains installing Cured In Place Pipe (CIPP) lining via trenchless technology. The work is being delivered in segments by working from manhole to manhole.
Preconstruction cleaning commenced in July 2024. The liner installation is expected to complete by the end of November 2024.
The final cost of this project is anticipated to be approximately 2M. Council approved the budget in the 2024 Capital Plan and the project is funded through sewer reserves.
Design has been completed by the City’s Capital Projects and Liquid Waste Services Departments. RFP 19-14 was approved by City Council and awarded to Insituform Technologies Ltd.
Getting Around During Construction
Traffic management during construction will be the responsibility of the contractor doing the work.

The City of Campbell River (the City) will be completing routine sewer maintenance and rehabilitation work in various locations around Campbell River from July 5 to November 30, 2024.
Expect minor traffic delays Mondays to Saturdays, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., until November 30, 2024, when work is taking place in each area. Please follow all signage and traffic controls in place.
