Inaugural Council Meeting will be held at the Tidemark Theatre on November 2, 2026.

A final review of the 2026 Local Government Election results was completed on October 21, 2026. The Chief Election Officer has officially declared Mayor- and Council-elect members.

Mayor-elect is:

  • Dahl, Kermit (5,171 votes)

Council-elect members are:

  • Ruehlen, Laird (5,334 votes)
  • Sinnott, Susan (4,508 votes)
  • Schuller, Lucas (4,402 votes)
  • Samson, Joëlle (4,197 votes)
  • Colville, Brittany (4,079 votes)
  • Lanyon, Ben (3,960 votes)

During the review, one additional ballot resulted in a change to the vote totals. This did not impact the Mayor- and Council-elect members announced in the preliminary election results.

“Thank you to everyone who participated in this election, including the candidates who put their names forward and the residents who took the time to vote,” says Elle Brovold, City Manager. “We appreciate the community’s involvement in shaping Campbell River’s future and look forward to working with the newly elected Mayor and Council. We also encourage residents to attend the inaugural meeting and swearing-in ceremony on November 2.”

A total of 9224 ballots were cast, representing approximately a 29 per cent voter turnout.
