Landslide at 350 South Island Highway

Cleanup of affected areas underway; no evacuations required.  

At approximately 6:06 a.m. on October 2, 2026, the City of Campbell River Fire Department responded to a report of a possible landslide near the condominium building at 350 South Island Highway. 

Fire department personnel attended the site and assessed the situation. No evacuation of the building was required, and no injuries have been reported. 

Cleanup of the affected area is underway, primarily within the property's parking area adjacent to the slope. The City will continue to monitor the site, and further assessment of the slope and incident will be conducted.
