Centennial Outdoor Pool will be closed temporarily for all regular programming beginning today, Friday, July 24, 2026, and until further notice following a break-in that resulted in damage to the facility's change house.
City of Campbell River staff are assessing the damage and undertaking the necessary repairs to restore the facility. The RCMP have been notified and will be conducting a forensic investigation at the site throughout the day. The City asks the public to stay away from the facility and to follow all directions from City staff and RCMP personnel as repair work and the investigation continues.
The City recognizes that this closure will be a disruption for pool users and aquatic programming participants. Groups with private bookings and participants registered in programs that are affected by the closures will be contacted directly. Thank you for your patience and understanding while the investigation and repair work are completed.
