City of Campbell River crews will begin summer clearing of sediment and driftwood from the Ken Forde and Big Rock boat ramps next week to prepare them for the season.
Clearing of Ken Forde Boat Ramp will take place on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. Expect disruptions during this time.
Clearing of Big Rock Boat Ramp will take place from Wednesday, April 22, to Friday, April 24, 2026. The boat ramp may be partially or fully closed at times while this work is completed, for public safety. The City encourages people to use Ken Forde Boat Ramp during this time.
All work will follow the memorandum of understanding that the City has with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. Thank you for your patience as the City gets these Campbell River boat ramps ready for residents and visitors to enjoy.
