The Quinsam Heights Neighbourhood Plan was last updated in 2008. Since then, Quinsam Heights has seen rapid new growth and development. As the city continues to grow, Quinsam Heights will continue to be an important growth area to address the community's future housing needs. This update will guide how the neighbourhood evolves to meet future housing needs while balancing retail, business, open space, transportation and recreation, and areas that are a key part of the neighbourhood's identity.
The latest draft of the plan was shared with Council in August 2025 and is available to review on the project webpage.
“This plan will be the blueprint for how Quinsam Heights develops for years to come,” says Andy Gaylor, Director of Community Planning and Livability. “Community input is essential because these decisions shape not just housing and amenities, but the overall livability and identity of the neighbourhood. The feedback we’ve received so far has significantly improved the plan, and we’re excited to hear your thoughts in this final phase.”
Can’t attend the open house in person? No problem! All information will be available online, and you can share your thoughts directly on the project page.
