Under winter weather conditions, the sanitary sewer system in the Campbellton catchment area receives flows above its design capacity and requires upgrades to effectively handle these flows.

The project will include the replacement and rehabilitation of sanitary infrastructure. These upgrades are required to increase the capacity of sanitary systems leading to Sanitary Pump Station #2, including the upstream gravity sanitary sewer feeding the pump station.
Sanitary Pump Station #2 is located at 1749 19th Ave. The project will include upgrades and replacement of the current infrastructure located between Tamarac St. and Petersen Rd., along Highway 19A. The City has partnered with ISL Engineering Services Ltd. to provide engineering, surveying and project management services. A contractor has not been selected and a public tender for this project will be posted when the scope and budget are approved by Council.
Getting Around During Construction
Traffic management during construction will be the responsibility of the contractor doing the work. Until a contractor is selected, details of the traffic management plan are not finalized.
