Pedestrian improvements are coming to Cheviot Road, from Petersen Road to Westmore Road.
Here's what's changing:
The pavement pathway will be located on the south side of Cheviot Road.
Low-profile concrete separators will separate the path from the road.
Work began in early July and continued to August 30, 2024.

The project is for the design and construction of a walkway and pedestrian crossing improvements along Cheviot Road. This work allows the City to move ahead immediately with building a walkway, while still planning for the future and further pedestrian improvements and utility infrastructure upgrades on Cheviot Road.

The City is working with engineering consultants, MPE Engineering Ltd. on the design phase. The City will engage in a tender process if necessary for the construction of this project.

Getting Around During Construction
Traffic management during construction will be the responsibility of the contractor doing the work.
