    Emergency Management BC has confirmed that a large earthquake has occurred in the Pacific Basin near Kodiak Alaska. The National Tsunami Warning Center has issued a tsunami warning for some zones of coastal British Columbia.
     
    Campbell River is in Zone E - the Strait of Georgia including the Gulf Islands, Greater Vancouver and Johnstone Strait and is NOT considered at risk.

Campbell River is NOT in the current tsunami warning zone.
