The City of Campbell River established the Community Builder Award in January 2007 to honour and recognize outstanding individuals who have shown longstanding leadership and improved the quality of life in our community. From leaders in the arts, sports and recreation to social services and environmental causes, the Community Builder Awards honours citizens who have left a legacy for us to enjoy and build upon.
Criteria for selection allow for posthumous nominees and include recognition for specific service or deeds, outstanding contributions in a particular field or endeavor, selfless volunteerism and activities that have made our community a better place to live.
