  • Host A Neighbourhood Event (With Our Help!)

    The Parks, Recreation and Culture Department is taking applications from groups interested in holding a neighbourhood event between mid-May and mid-September, 2017 that fosters a sense of community. It could be a: 

    • Neighbourhood Picnic
    • Beach Clean-up
    • Block Party
    • Community Garden Work Party
    • Porch Concert
    • Or another great event that brings neighbours together.


    Six groups will be selected to host events and receive event support that could include tables, chairs, tents, sports equipment, high vis vests, tools and staff to support you to
    ensure your event is a success.

    Wednesday, July 26  7:00 – 9:00 p.m.  Tidemark Square.

    Celebrate the start of CR Live Streets in the Tidemark Square with tapas and local wines, along with beer from Beach Fire Brewing and live blues music by David Gogo. (Ages 19+)


  • Chalkfest

    Shoppers Row, between 11th and 13th Ave.

    Calling all families, individuals and teams. Create a chalk "work of art" on the streets of Campbell River and win prizes. Not an artist? Come down to watch professional artists at work and grab dinner at one of the food trucks that will be on site.

    Professional chalk artists, food vendors, lice music, a free chalk art competition for all ages. Great prizes! Chalk supplied. Creating 5:30-  7 p.m. Judging 7 - 7:30 p.m.

    Wednesday, August 9   9 p.m. (approx. movie start time)

    Shoppers Row near Spirit Square.

    Free outdoor movie for the whole family!  LEGO Batman. Bring your lawn chairs.  Entertainment for the kids from 7:30 p.m. Food vendors on-site. 




  • Street Market & Music

    Wednesday, August 16,  5 – 8 p.m. 

    Shoppers Row between 11th and 13th Ave. 

    Market vendors and food trucks. LIVE music by Brodie Daweson and Luke Blu Guthrie. LIVE driftwood sculpture by Drifted Creations. Raincoast performing arts will also be performing  “The Princess and the Pea” on the Spirit Square stage at 4 p.m. Come downtown and enjoy the evening!
