Drainage Upgrade Work starts Monday, June 29, in the Willis/Petersen area

To address drainage concerns in the Willis/Petersen area, the City’s Roads and Drainage crews will start upgrading the ditches along the north side of Willis Road on June 29.

The project will increase the size of some culverts on the north side of the road and re-direct water from the south side of the road into the larger culverts on the north side.

The project will also build a ditch at the north corner of Willis and Petersen to divert flow away from the intersection and through the large culvert under Petersen Road.

Planning for this work has been timed to coincide with approval from the Department of Fisheries to conduct work in this area.
