ACCEPTING FAÇADE AND SIGNAGE IMPROVEMENT APPLICATIONS

Are you interested in updating your building façade or signage? If so, the Downtown Façade Improvement Program or the Downtown Signage Incentive Program may be just what you need to get started.

To apply for either the Downtown Façade Improvement Program or the Signage Incentive Program, download an application form below or pick one up from City Hall.

Downtown Façade Improvement Program

The Downtown Façade Improvement Program applies to commercial storefronts located within downtown Campbell River (see map linked below), and provides grants to renovate, or redesign commercial building facades according to the Design Guidelines outlined by the City (see Design Guidelines link below). The program encourages investment in building upgrades to create streetscapes that attract more people and businesses to the downtown area.

Eligible applicants may receive 50% of the total cost of the project, up to $10,000. These funds are available throughout the calendar year on a first-come-first-served basis.

Downtown Signage Incentive Program

The Downtown Signage Incentive Program is designed to build on the City’s Downtown Façade Improvement Program by providing specific funds for signage improvements. The program encourages businesses and building owners to invest in quality signage by providing grants to create new signs, or alternatively, to replace or renovate existing signs.

Eligible applicants may receive 80% of the total cost of the project, up to $5,000. These funds are available throughout the calendar year on a first-come-first-served basis.
