Amateur radio brings people, electronics and communication together. People use ham radio to talk across town and around the world, all without the Internet or cell phones. It is fun, social, educational and can be a lifeline during times of need.
Having more certified amateur radio operators in Campbell River and throughout the regional district will greatly increase or community's emergency communication capability.
