CONSTRUCTION ON HOLD: Please note, construction on the Waterfront Sewer Upgrade project is on hold until further notice, in order to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
The waterfront sewer main, built in 1972, is a critical piece of infrastructure that needs to be replaced to support new growth in the community and help protect the waterfront.
Work on Part 2 of the project is now starting again for 2020, its final year. Work got underway in February 2020 at the beginning of Rotary Beach Park, heading northward, first finishing the pipe installation and then moving forward with two new lift stations scheduled to be constructed.
The March 16 Open House for this project has been cancelled. Stay tuned for information to be shared here.
This sewer work is part of the Waterfront Project 2018-2020. For updates about other construction making up that project in 2020, visit the Highway 19A Upgrades project webpage http://www.campbellriver.ca/city-services/capital-improvement-projects/current-projects/overview---under-construction/overview
