19AConstruction activities will result in significant impacts to the corridor, which will require a comprehensive Traffic Management Plan. This will require closing the highway to through traffic. The road will only be open to local traffic and emergency vehicles during construction. Detours will be well marked and advertised to direct through traffic to alternative routes.

To protect public safety, we anticipate that the portion of the seawalk through the site will be closed during much of the construction period. Seawalk users will still be able to enjoy the seawalk north of Big Rock Boat Ramp and south of Rockland Road. Pedestrian, cyclist and other seawalk users will be provided access around the construction site.

More details about traffic interruptions will be available once the construction contract has been awarded.
