Keep It LocalWe’re entering the final stretch of this holiday retail season. Here’s a reminder to support your local businesses.

For every $100 spent at a local business, $46 is re-circulated back in the economy. For every $100 spent at restaurants, $65 stays in the local economy.

Campbell River is fortunate to have many businesses with unique goods and services.  Shopping local supports local entrepreneurs, artists, makers and manufacturers.

Did you know Economic Development issues a newsletter that showcases some of the awesome businesses located in Campbell River? You can find issues of In the Spotlight here.

And for extra credit, buy Island Good products, an initiative started by Vancouver Island Economic Alliance to support locally sourced food products. Shoppers are easily able to identify Island Good options by looking for the colorful Island Good shelf messaging.  You can learn more here.

Local businesses invest in the community, create employment opportunities and provide awesome products and services!
