As part of the City of Campbell River Parks,  Recreation and Culture Department, Parks is responsible for the maintenance of all municipal park facilities and the administration of the Legacy Landmarks Program.

 

 

Parks Maintenance  

Included in Parks is over 55 hectares of developed green space ranging from passive parks to full athletic facilities, along with the maintenance of street trees, bike paths and both municipal cemeteries.

Some of the maintenance tasks performed by the Parks crews are:

  • Turf maintenance such as mowing, fertilizing and top-dressing
  • Flower and shrub bed maintenance
  • Irrigation system installation and repair
  • Tree Pruning
  • Interments
  • Garbage pick-up

Parks crews are also responsible for the inspection, maintenance and repair of all playgrounds, tennis courts, fences and backstops.
