The City is providing weekly yard waste collection for 8 weeks in the Spring and Fall to be collected on your regular garbage pickup day.

2009 Weekly Yard Waste Collection Schedule for single and duplex homes:

SPRING COLLECTION

April 12th, 2010 to June 4th, 2010

COLLECTION GUIDELINES:

Unlimited amount will be accepted.
Grass, plants, flowers, leaves must be placed in rigid open topped containers clearly marked 'Yard Waste' or in paper bags. Plastic bags may be used but they must be biodegradable or compostable and labeled accordingly by the manufacturer on each bag. Plastic bags without these labels will not be picked up.
Branches and prunings must be tied in secure bundles no longer than 90 cm (36") in length or 60 cm (24") in width. Individual branches must not exceed 7.6 cm (3") in diameter.
Bundles should be tied with twine or other biodegradable string.

Container Guidelines - rigid, no larger than 80L, maximum weight 20 kilos

TO LABEL CONTAINERS, you may:

Purchase a yellow decal from the City (60 cents) and affix to a container; or
Clearly mark a container with bold lettering; or
Download, print the decal below and affix to a container.
