In February 2008 Council adopted a Clean Air Bylaw amendment which prohibits the burning of yard waste for all residents of area "A" in the City of Campbell River.

Residents of area "B" are still permitted to burn their yard waste during April and October however they are encouraged to participate in the Yard Waste Collection Program currently being offered by the City.

RECREATIONAL FIRES

Cooking fires and beach fires are still permitted in all areas of the City. Recreational fires must be limited in size to 2 x 2 x 2 ft and must not cause a nuisance to neighboring properties.
