Work under this project includes, the renewal of approximately 3500 linear meters of watermain on the North Island Highway from Highway 28 to Orange Point Road. In general terms, the work includes the upgrade of the high pressure transmission main and the reconfiguration of the distribution network in the area. The addition of a new Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) Station and the creation of a single Distribution Pressure Zone which will address the pressure related issues in this area.

The construction work is anticipated to start in early summer 2012 and be complete by the end of this year.
