Parks, Recreation and Culture is a department of the City of Campbell River.  The Department is responsible for the coordination of leisure and recreation programs, park maintenance, field bookings, culture activities and the supervision and rental of facilities included in the Sportsplex, Community Centre, Centennial Pool and Discovery Pier.  The Department also provides advertising opportunities in the Recreation Guides, Community Centre Display Cabinets and wall signs above the sport courts in the Sportsplex.
Activities and Programs

The City of Campbell River Parks, Recreation and Culture Department publishes three Recreation Guides per year.  These guides cover Winter/Spring (January through April), Spring/Summer (May through August), and Fall (September through December). 

Programs are offered for all ages, stages and abilities. 

Cultural Community Partnerships

The City of Campbell River provides cultural opportunities for residents and visitors through partnerships with local organizations.  Through these partnerships, residents and visitors, alike can enjoy Civic Events, Museum, Haig-Brown Heritage House, Sybil Andrews - Walter Morgan Cottage, Tidemark Theatre, and Art Gallery.

Centennial Outdoor Pool

The Centennial Outdoor Pool is located at 4th and Alder Street at Centennial Park. Great fun for the whole family! Swim Lessons, Public Swimming, and Fun Days.

For the main pool, children six years and under must be accompanied in the water by a responsible person 16 years or older.

Centennial Outdoor Pool is now closed and will re-open next summer.

Court Rentals
Four courts are available for rental at the Sportsplex facility 1800 South Alder Street.  Two courts are interchangeable, two courts are permanently for squash. To rent the courts for Squash, Racquetball, or Wallyball contact the Sportsplex at 923-7911.
