The Financial Services Department manages the City's Financial Information System, which includes the provision of accounting services such as payroll, accounts payable, taxation, utility billings, investments, debt management, and general accounts receivable.
The Department is responsible for promulgating policy and procedure in matters related to finance. The Department has 10 full time equivalent staff and is responsible for assembling and compiling the annual five- year financial plan, annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the Public Sector Accounting and Auditing Board.
