Downtown Study for the City of Campbell River
The Downtown Study for the City of Campbell River was completed by Downs/Archambault & Partners Architects on January 25, 2006. Implementation of the recommendations of the Downtown Study is one of the operational priorities of Council’s 2007 Strategic Plan, with the main result being to encourage residential development in the targeted areas of the downtown, and to make the downtown a more lively, interesting and liveable place to be. Benefits will include constructive long term opportunities for redevelopment in Downtown Campbell River, better integrated pedestrian access and vehicular movement in the downtown and improvements to public spaces and development of a village commons area to give the downtown a focal point.
